Double your Contribution through matching program

March 13 – May 10th, the Gottlieb Family will match contributions made to the Clay County Food Pantry.  The Gottlieb’s are part time residents of Clay County and have been helping the community for over ten years by matching your contributions.  Contributions can be either food assistance (non-perishable pre-packaged and can foods) or monetary donations.  Food donations can be dropped off in person on Thursdays between 9:00 and 12:00 at 2278 Hinton Center Road, Hayesville, NC 28904.  You can also add food donations to the drums located at the exits of the Hayesville Ingles.  You can mail your monetary, tax-deductible contribution to The Clay County Food Panty, Inc. P.O. Box 853, Hayesville, NC 28904.  If you have any questions, you can contact us at 828-389-1657.  In Clay County about 14% of our population live below the poverty line based on the 2020 Census data. The Clay County Food Pantry has been serving the community for over 30 years and is all volunteer non-profit organization whose purpose is to aid individuals and families in our community who are in need of food assistance.  In 2023 we helped a weekly average of 133 families / 327 individuals and distributed over 8,300 boxes of food for the year.  With the rising cost of food and the increase in demand, the need for assistance has increased and your generous donation is needed now more than ever.  Please take advantage of this matching program and your contribution will go twice as far to help those in need.
