During March and April, the Gottlieb Family will match contributions
made to the Clay County Food Pantry. The Gottlieb’s are part time residents of Clay
County and have been helping the community for more than eight years by matching contributions. Contributions can be either food assistance — non-perishable
pre-packaged and canned foods — or monetary donations. Food
donations can be dropped off in person from9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Fridays at 2278 Hinton Center Road. You can also add food donations to the drums located at
the exits of the Hayesville Ingles. You can mail your monetary, tax deductible
contribution to: The Clay County Food Pantry, Inc.,
P.O. Box 853, Hayesville, N.C. 28904.
If you have questions, you can call (828) 389-1657. The Clay County Food Pantry is a
non-profit organization whose purpose is to aid individuals and families in the community
who are in need of food assistance. In 2021, we helped 6,500 families and more than 15,000
individuals. With the rising cost of food, the need for assistance has increased and your donation is needed now more than ever. Take advantage of this matching program and your contribution will go twice as far to help those in need.
