Clay County Food Pantry expresses gratitude

Updated: Oct 26, 2021

(Appeared in the December 5, 2019 issue of the Clay County Progress "Our Views")

The Clay County Food Pantry is a 100 percent volunteer organiation. t is funded through the generosity of our community including churches, businesses and individuals. The Friday before Thanksgiving, the pantry distributed 389 food boxes — enough to feed almost 750 Clay County residents filled with typical holiday fiins including a choice of turkey, ham or chicken. This would not be possible without ongoing community donations. We would like to sincerely thank everyone, on behalf of the pantry and our clients who have generously donated so we can keep our shelves stocked week after week.

With your continuing support, we plan on providing our clients another holiday box for Christmas which will include again, choice of turkey, ham or chicken plus additional holiday foods as well as other canned foods. Donations of turkeys, food or a financial contribution can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. any Friday at the food pantry on Hinton Center Road, Hayesville. Financial contributions can also be mailed to Clay County Food Pantry, PO Box 853, Hayesville, .C. 28904.

Once again, we appreciate and thank you.
