CHRISTMAS CARE OF CLAY COUNTY UNDERWAY

Clay County Progress, October 27, 2022

Dawn Martin, Guest Writer

Thanks to the generosity of our community, more than 300 children received gifts of new clothing last Christmas. Even with all the uncertainty, our community rallied together to make this happen.

Christmas Care needs monetary donations and there are many ways to do so: Mail a check made payable to “Hinton Center Christmas Care” to Hinton Center, Attn: Christmas

Care, PO Box 27, Hayesville, N.C. 28904. Note that because of IRS regulations and bank requirements, checks need to be made payable to “Hinton Center Christmas Care” or “Hinton Center” with Christmas Care in the memo. All donations designated for Christmas Care will continue to be used for that purpose; this is simply a regulation we need to

follow.

Give online at: www.hintoncenter. org/donate. Select “Give today via PayPal/ Credit Card”

and then you can add “Christmas Care” in the “give special instructions” field.

Call (828) 389-8336 to donate via credit card over the phone.

Volunteers are also needed. If you’d like to help with the fun giveaway at Hinton, donate wrapping paper or supplies or have any questions, call or email: dawn@hintoncenter.org.

If you need assistance with clothing gifts for your children, the applications are available at

Hinton Center, Clay County Food Pantry, Matt's Ministry, Department of Social Services, Clay

County Health Department and online at: www.hintoncenter.org.

Applications are due by Nov. 4.
